AGUA FRESCA

Dan’s Fresh Produce in-house Chef
Gregg Prawdzik

If you have eaten at a good taqueria, then you understand fresh fruit juice. But you do not need an expensive juicer machine. Try this.
Serves two

2lb fresh fruit: Here is a list of the more typical fruits, but don’t be afraid to experiment.
Try strawberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, watermelon, grapefruit, or Valencia oranges.
¼ cup sugar (optional)

MISE EN PLACE: prep fruit as needed. If there are seeds like in a cantaloupe, you do not need to remove, as they will add flavor to the beverage. Liquefy fruit in a blender and add sugar if desired. Strain liquid through a fine mesh colander. Enjoy in a tall glass of ice.
